Jellycat back in stock: how restocks work and how to catch one
Jellycat doesn't announce restocks. Sold-out designs come back at irregular times, new ones land a few times a year, and retired designs don't come back at all. The official site has a Back in Stock page and an email alert on sold-out items, but the email can arrive after a popular restock sells out, so check stockists too and use an alert that checks the page every few minutes.
Sold out or retired?
Two very different things look the same on a shop page.
- Sold out means Jellycat still makes it. It will come back, you just don’t know when.
- Retired means the design is finished. Once the last stockist sells out, it’s gone, and resale prices climb.
If a design disappears from Jellycat’s own site entirely, it has most likely been retired.
How Jellycat restocks
Jellycat doesn’t publish a restock calendar. Popular designs come back in batches at irregular times, and new collections arrive a few times a year. Two pages on Jellycat’s site are worth bookmarking:
- Back in Stock, the designs that have just returned.
- Coming Soon, what’s about to arrive.
Why the Notify me email isn’t enough
Sold-out items on Jellycat’s site offer an email when they’re back. It’s free and worth turning on, but it has limits:
- It covers one item at a time.
- It’s email only, and emails go out on the shop’s schedule, not the second stock returns.
- For a popular design that sells out in under an hour, a late email can mean you’re too late.
Look beyond jellycat.com
Jellycat also sells through stockists: gift shops, toy shops, bookshops and department stores. Jellycat’s stockist locator shows the ones near you. A design that’s sold out online is often sitting on a shelf down the road.
Avoid fakes and resale markups
Counterfeits exist. Buy from Jellycat or a listed stockist, and be wary of marketplace listings far below the normal price. For retired designs, check recent sold prices before paying a reseller.
Get a text the minute it’s back
An alert that checks the product page every few minutes beats an email that arrives on the shop’s schedule. Tell your AI: “Text me when Bartholomew Bear is back on Jellycat’s site.” Puley watches the page with Fast watches and texts you the moment the button turns back on. You check out yourself.

There's no published schedule. Sold-out designs come back at irregular times, and new collections arrive a few times a year. Jellycat's Back in Stock and Coming Soon pages show what's returning.
Will a retired Jellycat come back?
Usually not. Once a design is retired and stockists sell what they have, it's gone, and prices for it climb on resale sites.
Where else can I buy Jellycat?
From stockists: gift shops, toy shops, bookshops and department stores. Jellycat's site has a stockist locator to find ones near you.
How do I avoid fake Jellycats?
Buy from Jellycat or a listed stockist, and be wary of marketplace listings far below the usual price. Jellycat publishes a brand protection statement about counterfeits.
